A George III Oak & Mahogany Crossbanded Dresser Base
A beautifully robust eighteenth century oak and mahogany crossbanded dresser base.
This superb country dresser has a solid oak carcase with hinged lid and false top drawers. All of the drawer fronts have wonderfully patinated oak veneered centres with mahogany crossbanded surrounds, finished with brass swan neck handles.
In deference to the style of the time the dresser has classical columns with brass quarter capitals to the top and base of each side and finished with superbly outlined bracket feet.
An outstanding piece circa 1800.
