A Pair of Mid-Century Brass & Fruitwood Military Practice Artillery Shells
For sale, a pair of mid-century brass and fruitwood inert military practice artillery shells.
These 120MM Bat shells would have been used by the military for drill practice rather than firing and as such the brass does bear some marks of service. However, they have polished up beautifully and make the most unusual and decorative item.
Not an everyday item and would look great as a display or perhaps either side of the fireplace.
The base of both shells are marked as follows: 120MM BAT RW27A – DRILL L6 A1 and are individually dated to 1963 & 1975.
Measurements: 114cms in length x 15cms diameter.
