A superbly designed and robust Regency or George IV country house upholstered library armchair with scrolled arms, curved backrest and original simulated rosewood legs terminating into brass cup castors.

The chair has been sympathetically restored using sumptuous Sanderson period fabric of large floral pattern repeat. Similar examples exist in country houses across the UK but Althorp, Northamptonshire has some of very similar proportions and style. Just a lovely example of this type of chair and in excellent condition.
